Yes for goodness' sake charge for plastic bags!!!! Ireland's been doing it for a while, Wales is doing it, North Ireland will be doing it and Scotland considering so why isn't England flipping well doing it??? And if the customers complain just tell them they can either stop using them, pay up if necessary or else don't shop there, and I'd say make them pay about 50p, not 5p. Yes they won't like it but at the way things are going drastic changes will have to be made. We simply cannot afford to keep manufacturing something as harmful as this.

I think it is right to bring in a charge for plastic bags. That would encourage everyone to bring their own bags when shopping. Since plastic bags are on mass production we should really think that buy not reusing bags we are wasting the resources an the materials it takes to make a plastic bag. In my family, we bring reusable bags every time we go for our weekly shop. Please, can't we protect our planet for once!

I think that we should have a plastic bag charge because the amount of plastic bags being used is going up and that is bad for the environment, and maybe if people had to pay then they would think twice about throwing it in the bin when they get home.We always take reusable bags when we go shopping so people should be aware of their environment and try to protect it ;)
