People say I'm the UK's youngest radio presenter
My name is Daisy and people say I’m the UK’s youngest radio presenter.
I broadcast my show, Crazy Daizy’s Lazy Saturday, on my local station, Drystone Radio. I first started a year ago when I was nine years old.
Each week in my show I play music that I choose myself and talk about books, TV programmes and famous people and give information about events that are happening in the local area. I have to prepare the articles and a playlist during the week but I also read out emails and play requests that come to me while I’m going out live.
Last year I wrote to Blue Peter telling them about my hobby and hoping to get one of their badges. They were so interested in my show they came to film me in February for a section on the programme called Being Me which was really exciting. I’ve also appeared on Newsround and local news programmes and I’ve given live interviews too.
I really enjoy doing the radio show because I can play my favourite music, talk about things that interest younger people and get involved with something that helps the local community.
You can listen to my show every Saturday from noon until 1pm on Drystone Radio 106.9FM.
