A Catholic church service was set up outside the Parroquea San Jose church in Chile after it was closed due to the damage caused by the massive earthquake on March 7, 2010.

It is thought that just under 600 people died in the 8.8 earthquake on February 28 - an earthquake 800 times more powerful than Haiti's 7.0 earthquake.
