Our class is running a healthy tuck shop at our school
This year at Rosendale School, 5AF class will be running a healthy tuck shop named Cruzaz of da fruiterz.
We began running our tuck shop last year when we were 4MC. Before we could start Cruzaz of da fruiterz we had to have a training day.
First we met Lizzie, who told us about business. She gave us training books that had all the responsibilities and jobs in it. Then we got into groups of eight and we got packets of some of the products. We got to try them. They were really tasty! After that, we decided what our healthy tuck shop should be called. And we decided on Cruzaz of da fruiterz. We had a vote to decide what snacks we would have.
Then we started to advertise our tuck shop. The sales managers made posters, which had a lot of information about the tuck shop on them. We created an assembly showing everyone what we had done and what we were going to be doing.
We were selling in one of our playgrounds and we were very popular.
We have a variety of snacks, including: non-flavoured popcorn, apple crisps, apricots and apple cubes. As well as snacks we also have delicious drinks. This year, we are deciding if we should have lime-flavoured raisins.
Last year we raised £350. Half of the money went to UNICEF, a quarter went to our school and the rest went to our class.
Our healthy tuck shop will be up and running after half term. We hope to see you all there!
