New home for red squirrels in Wales to help protect and replenish the species

Endangered red squirrels are being rehoused in a conservation area in Wales to help increase their numbers. 

Three areas in north and mid Wales are being turned into conservation areas to protect red squirrels. Numbers of the cute creatures have gradually declined across the UK in recent years due to disease, competition from grey squirrels and habitat loss.
