Michael Jackson's famous jacket sold for $1.8m
The red leather jacket worn by Michael Jackson in his infamous Thriller video was recently sold for $1.8m at an auction.
The jacket was sold for $1.8m (just over £1m) at an auction in Los Angeles, California, to a gold trader from Texas. Milton Verret, has said that he hopes his purchase of the infamous jacket will help him raise money for children's hospitals.
The auctioned jacket was one of two jackets worn by the pop legend in the 14-minute-long video for his 1983 hit, Thriller.
Michael Jackson tragically died on June 25 2009. The Thriller jacket was sold one day after the two year anniversary of the singer's death.
Watch an edited version of Michael Jackson's Thriller below (be warned - some scenes are quite frightening!).

In my opinion, if you are trying to RAISE money for a charity, you don't go and blow money on a jacket that cost £1m!
