Meet Ben Hunter the Young Person of the Year Award at Dyslexia Action’s Annual Awards. Watch the video!

Ben Hunter aged  from Wales won the Young Person of the Year Award at Dyslexia Action’s Annual Awards. See why he thinks My Way! is so important.

One person at the First News My Way! launch with experience of this was Ben Hunter aged 9 from Wales.  Ben is dyslexic and now having specialist support.  He was awarded the Young Person of the Year Award at Dyslexia Action’s Annual Awards in November 2009 and was included as one of the New Year’s Eve 50 top Welsh Achievers (Ben was number two after Rhodri Morgan, First Minister of the Welsh Assembly).  Ben said: ‘Campaigns to raise awareness about learning difficulties is great because children might not do very well at school and worry and be sad. I found school really hard until my dyslexia teacher, Mrs Lacey, taught me how to read and write and now I am happy most of the time.’

See what his has to say about My Way! below along with Ryan King who has also managed to overcome learning challenges and succeed.
