McIlroy isn’t the master yet
Rory McIlroy will have to try again next year to win the Masters, after he gave away a lead on the final day to hand victory to Charl Schwartzel.
21-year-old McIlroy led the tournament for most of the four days, but dropped six shots in just three holes around the deadly Amen Corner.
However, Schwartzel was a deserved winner, especially after he somehow managed to birdie the last four holes. After winning, he dedicated the victory to his father.
“I wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for him,” he said.
