Lego Technic time

We took part in the Lego Technic Challenge and had a great day!

By James, 11 and Max, 8

We went to a toy shop in Guildford which was holding the Lego Technic Challenge. For our challenge we had to build something that could benefit mankind out of Lego. There were bins of Lego Technic all around the shop. There were lots of different pieces, wheels, motors, remote controls, scoops – everything you could need to make excellent Lego models.

Max built a car of the future which could hover, fly and drive. Our friend Patrick built a motor trike which is a three wheeled bike which could replace lorries as it would have low carbon emissions and be faster. James made a one-wheeled car with three scoops on the front and can be used to clear a path through the Lego on your bedroom floor, so you don’t have to step on Lego any more. We all know that hurts!

Once we had finished our models the people from Lego took pictures of our machines and we had to name our contraptions. We called them FutureCar, MotorTrike and Scarper. The pictures and their details were then entered into the Lego Technic Challenge. The pictures will be on the Lego website and people can vote for their favourite machine. The winner will get loads of Lego as a prize, so get voting for us PLEASE!
