Larry the Downing Street cat caught scratching the red carpet

Larry the Downing Street cat has been caught scratching 10 Downing Street's famous red carpet!

Larry is a four-year-old stray cat that was rescued from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.

British Prime Minister David Cameron hoped that Larry would help catch the rat that was spotted scuttling passed 10 Downing Street last year (see the video below).

This isn't the first time Larry has been in trouble; last year, lots of people said that Larry shuld be fired because he wasn't catching any mice.

Larry was also in trouble once before for attacking a journalist.

What do you think? Should Larry be fired?

Check out our gallery for more photos of Larry.
