Kids wants to spend more time outside, says survey

Kids wants to spend more time outside, says survey

Almost three quarters (72%) of kids in the UK want to spend more time outside, say energy company, npower.

So the npower Climate Cops Green Fingers campaign aims to get primary school students outside by providing green spaces for city schools.

The campaign reports that, on average, kids in the UK spend just four hours a week outside, while their parents reportedly spent 12 hours outside when they were children. The campaign is offering ten schools the chance to win an outside area developed by charity Groundwork.

Denise Van Outen, spokesperson for the campaign says: “I’m very aware of how important it is that the younger generation understand how important it is to protect the environment.”
