Kids are clueless about nature!
Do you anything about nature?
A NEW survey has revealed that British kids don’t know much about nature or the outdoors.
More than 2,000 kids were surveyed by the TV channel Eden to launch a new campaign, Eden Inspires, in association with TV presenter Ben Fogle, which aims to get kids more connected with nature.
They found that almost three-quarters of British kids spend more time watching TV in a week than they do playing outside. Around 36% of kids say they only play outside once a week or less.
Their knowledge on native animals is also limited, with over 50% believing that grey squirrels are native, and 39% believing birds nest in autumn and winter.
Eden can be found on Sky, channel 532 and Virgin TV channel 208.

I know a lot about nature but not my friends. My parents take me to zoos and aquariums and encourage me to watch programmes and read books but all my friends just play football or play on the computer.

I love reading and watching programs about nature! Whenever my family go out somewhere in the country we come back and look up the plants and animals we have seen.
