Kate and Will have adopted a baby penguin
The newly appointed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have adopted a baby penguin named Acorn.
Acorn, who is a Humbolt penguin, was given to the newlyweds as a gift, although the penguin will remain at his current home at Chester Zoo with 49 other Humbolt penguins.
As part of their adoption, the Royal couple are allowed to visit Acorn for free whenever they wish and are allowed to privately watch him being fed.
A spokesperson from the zoo commented: "Hopefully, the happy couple will come and see little Acorn playing in his pool very soon."
Humbolt penguins are an endangered species, thought to be the result of occurrences such as habitat loss.
