Joe McElderry gets a new record deal

Joe McElderry has been given a second shot at stardom after being signed up to a new label 

Joe McElderry, winner of The X Factor 2009, has been signed up to Universal Records after being dropped by Simon Cowell’s record label SyCo.

This means he is now on the same label as his X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole. Ahh, bless!
