Jaguars obsessed with perfume!

Scientists have discovered that big cats are attracted to Calvin Klein perfume. Read on to find out more...

 

Biologists in Guatemala have found a cunning way of getting up close and personal with jaguars in order to study their mating rituals: wearing perfume.

But it’s not just any old perfume that attracts the big cats. It has to be Calvin Klein’s Obsession for Men. By spraying the musky scent near to hidden cameras, researchers found that the jaguars were attracted to the smell and hung around much longer than if they’d used a different eau de cologne.

Nina Ricci’s L’Air du Temps came a close second in the whiff contest.
