Jack Sparrow is back, in new Pirates of the Caribbean film

Exciting details have been revealed about the next Pirates of the Caribbean film, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.


Attendees at Comic-Con, one of America’s most popular comic book and film conventions, were thrilled when a video recording of Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) was shown. In the video Captain Jack talked about his love of rum, going in search of the Fountain of Youth and erm, rum!

The film is not due for release until 2011, and features a whole new cast. Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly don’t return for the film, but Jack’s nemesis, Barbossa, does. He joins Jack on a new journey where they meet mermaids and more fearsome pirates.

New faces joining the cast include Penelope Cruz and British actor Ian McShane who plays the legendary pirate Blackbeard!

    I am a BIG fan of Pirates of The Caribbean and I can't wait!!!! I'm just pleased that Barbossa is still in it, and I hope MR. Gibbs is back too!!
