I've won around 200 racing trophies!
I was introduced to karting on a family holiday at a young age and I have been hooked ever since. I have always dreamt of becoming a Formula 1 driver and this is my ultimate goal.
My mum is my biggest fan and supporter and every weekend she takes me all over the country to compete in various races. I’m also really lucky in that I have made some amazing friends through karting. However, once the helmets go on and we are lining up on the grid, we are all out to win and beat each other!
People don’t think of racing as a team sport but it really is. I work closely with my mechanic and engine builder and other people in the sport who are there to give advice and their expertise. The sport is a tough one to succeed in and so, in order to get the attention of various sponsors, we decided that this year I would concentrate on competing in two National Championships as I really feel I can do well. This is unusual as people only concentrate on competing in one as it is so hard, however, halfway through the season I am already leading one Championship and am joint first in the other!
I got my Motor Sports Association license at the age of eight, that allowed me to compete at karting. Since then I have won around 200 trophies, including some where we raced to raise money for charity.
I am really excited to see how this season finishes and I am going to work so hard to achieve the best that I can in order to progress in the sport. My hero is Jenson Button and my dream is one day to meet him and see what advice and tips he has for aspiring racers like me.
