It's Kids Week!

IT’S Kids Week in London until 3 September when kids go free to the best shows in town.

The ticket deal is simple – anyone under the age of 16 goes free to loads of West End shows when they’re with a full-paying adult. And two more kids can go for half price!

There’s also an action-packed schedule of fun in lots of the theatres with free workshops, activities and events. We went down to the Shaftesbury Theatre to take part in a Burn The Floor workshop to learn a dance called the Cha Cha.

The stars of the show are Strictly Come Dancing’s Brian Fortuna and Ali Bastian. They took the workshop and we had a chat with them afterwards.

We asked them why Kids Week mattered.

Brian said: “It’s about kids getting the opportunity to go out and experience things they don’t normally get to – like coming to the theatre and getting to meet the cast and have a go on a real West End Stage.”

Ali added: “And, most importantly, kids get to go FREE to the theatre so this is a good week for kids! They can get into the West End, see all the talent and see all the shows.”

We watched the show afterwards and it was amazing. The dancers were spectacular and there was so much energy on the stage, we really expected to see smoke coming from the stage like the floor was burning for real!
