India launches 'Clean India' campaign

The India tourism industry has launched a 'Clean India' campaign to encourage people to keep India clean.

India's Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahai said that every Indian has a duty to make sure that India's tourism sites are clean and safe.

He wants people to join the Clean India campaign in large numbers.

"India is a country with rich heritage and it is the duty of every Indian to keep it clean and safe", he said.

"It is we, the people, who can make India an Incredible India by keeping our monuments, beaches, stations, bus stops and other destinations clean."
