I'm a toyologist
I was picked from over 2,000 children to carry out the best summer job in the world – testing new toys with the experts at Asda and toyology.co.uk.
by Elouise Noakes, 8
When my grandad first told me about the competition to test toys and games over the summer, I spent ages trying to think why they should pick me. I decided to write a poem and came up with the following: ‘Please pick me, I will work like a busy bee, to tell you which toy is fab, I hope I’m in your lab!’
I was so excited when my first parcel arrived in the post. It was addressed to me, and I had to sign for it which I’ve never had to do before. I didn’t know what was going to be inside, so when I opened it and found the Moxie Snow Doll I was very excited. A new toy arrives from Asda every week and I have to play with it and then write a review. I then submit my entry to the senior toyologist for uploading and sharing with other kids and parents online to help them choose the predicted Christmas best sellers. Other toys I’ll receive are the Disney Princess Repunzel Hairplay, Hello Kitty and ZhuZhu Pizzeria Playset.
Although I’ve been told I can keep all the toys, I’ve decided to give some of them away to the local hospital when I’ve finished testing them. I’m really lucky and have lots of toys to play with, and I know that some children don’t have so many.
I’m having lots of fun playing with all the toys and can’t wait to tell all my friends at school. You can see my reviews at asda.co.uk/toyologists and at toyology.co.uk/toyologists
