I went to the new Harry Potter event at the London Film Museum
A few weeks ago, my brother and I went to the new Harry Potter event at the London Film Museum.
We drove to the museum and waited in a HUGE queue of people all wearing Harry Potter costumes.
There were loads of cameramen filming something for the news, so I think we were on TV!
When we finally entered the building, we were all given a wristband and a ticket with a number on it.
We were taken into a room that looked like the Ministry of Magic courtroom from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. A man dressed as a wizard came in and told us that we were having a duelling contest and the prize was to go to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 premiere.
All the numbers were placed in a hat (which looked like the Sorting Hat) and eight were drawn out. I wasn’t picked, though. The chosen eight were each given an electronic wand and battled each other two at a time. Then the winner of each match was decided by the number of lights on their wand.
After the duels, we were taken into the room where we tested out the games. I was trying out LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 for the Xbox 360. The game hadn’t even been finished! It was really fun, especially the Year-5 part.
It was an exciting and memorable day and it was really cool to be one of the first people in the world to try out a new Xbox game!
