I went to Orlando to visit Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens
I had an amazing summer holiday this year. My family and I went to Orlando, USA to visit Disney World, Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens.
We stayed at a suite at the Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa, just down the road from the Disney world parks. The whirlpool tub in the bathroom was brilliant!
I have so many wonderful memories of the whole holiday that it is really difficult to pick out the best things.
Some of the best ones were when I had photos taken with Mickey and so many other characters, like Marvel Heroes, Toy Story characters, Disney characters and animals in the Disney Animal Kingdom, to name a few.
SeaWorld was also fantastic. Feeding dolphins and touching stingrays, together with the shows put on by the dolphin and whale trainers were also highlights of my holiday.
I also went on quite a few rides while in the parks. The safari at the Animal Kingdom was a great ride. I have to say my best was the simulator ride Buzz Lightyear’s Spaceranger Spin, and the Kali Rapids – if you think that the rapids rides in the theme parks in Britain make you wet, you don’t know the meaning of wet! We were completely drenched, but luckily dried up after a few hours in the sun.
It was also great watching the various shows that they put on around the park, for example the Lion King show and Finding Nemo show.
Another park where there were a lot animals to see was Busch Gardens, with its famous Cheetah Run.
It was so hot that it was also quite nice to cool down with a swim after a day at the parks. There was a lovely swimming pool at the resort with a pirate’s ship, which had a slide.
We also visited the three water parks Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and Aquatica. Going on a water slide from one end of the park to the other was fabulous.
The evenings were also quite busy, there were always firework displays to go and see. And if you were tired (which did happen on occasions, I have to admit), you could watch the displays from the balcony of the hotel suite!
Orlando is a place that you can visit over and over again, but even if you only go once, I promise you will have a brilliant holiday. We did!
