I went to Butlins as a travel reporter for First News
I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to go to Butlins with my family, courtesy of First News, to be a travel reporter!
The first thing we did when we arrived was go inside the Skyline which is a huge pavilion housing lots of entertainment and restaurants. We bought pancakes from a pancake shop and tucked in while we waited to check-in.
There are many activities that you can do during your stay. On my first day I did archery. The sports coach was really helpful and gave really good advice. It was really good fun and, what’s more, it’s completely free of charge! I went back again for another go later in the week and it was one of the highlights of my holiday!
Another highlight was Extreme Dreams on the High Ropes Course and Zip Wire. I had to get kitted up in a helmet and harness before being clipped to a pulley on a girder that went round the whole perimeter of the course. I was about 15ft off the ground and I had to navigate my way through eight different obstacles. I went round the course twice and my confidence built all the time.
There was also Mini Golf which had a brilliant seaside/ pirate setting with barrels and palm trees. I especially liked the 8th hole because it was inside a mock lighthouse!
There is a great selection of shows at Butlins and my favourite were the Stars of X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. The stars that I saw were Katie Waissel from X Factor and Razy Gogonea from Britain’s Got Talent. They were both amazing and I got some really good photos too!
Thank you First News and Butlins, I had an absolutely fantastic time at Butlins Bognor Regis.
I would strongly recommend that if you haven’t been there already, you should definitely consider going.
