I went ice skating next to the London Eye

I was lucky enough to go up to London with my family to visit the new ice-skating rink right next to the London Eye – funnily enough, it’s called Eyeskate!

Me and my sister, Freya, had some help with our ice-skating, and we used big orange seals to hold on to.

At first, we were slipping all over the place, but by the end we felt like proper experts! The seals weren’t just good for helping you keep your balance on the ice; they were also good for having a ride. Freya and I had fun sitting on them while Mum and Dad were whizzing us round the ice rink – I think they were quite pleased to have something to hold on to as well!

It was a lovely place to skate, as you could look at the London Eye at the same time, even when you were on your bottom!

I really enjoyed it and would love to go again. I would recommend it to my friends and would rate it ten out of ten.

Eyeskate will be open to the public until 6 January 2012. Tickets can be purchased online at www.londoneye.com.
