I was a contender on Camp Orange
Camp Orange – I don’t know where to start - Wow, What an experience! The standard of the competition was high from day one – I mean, all the contenders were battling it out for the ultimate prize - Champ Orange.
When we arrived in Sydney, Australia, in fact when we were on the plane, all of us, ‘the campers’, were dancing with joy and excitement to think that we were travelling more than 10,000 miles away from home.
We arrive at camp, greeted by Jamie and Anna, and filming started not long after that. Then we got our surprise, the Olympic Gold Medallist Denise Lewis greeted us as our mentor – what an honour!
All the challenges were what we all hoped for, slimy, grimy and messy – oh yeah!
Some of my favourites are creepy cabin, the mayo maze, the mega challenge and of course putrid pie. Even though I haven’t mentioned all of them, they are all amazing.
I made some very good friends from all of the teams – Awesome 2Sum, Yorky Corkies, Double Trouble and, of course, my team mate, Lucy from The Valley Commandos.
It was a real pleasure to be invited to Camp Orange and it was such a fun experience, one which I will never ever forget. I would definitely do it all again.
I would recommend everyone to audition for a show like this. If you need any tips, let me know!
