I swam with dolphins at Discovery Cove
I really wanted to swim with a dolphin after watching a programme on TV.
We flew to Florida last year in the middle of heavy snowfall. We were lucky to fly that day.
After a day’s rest we visited Discovery Cove. Then we visited the Aviary before it was our turn to meet the dolphins.
Can you believe that a bird sat on my mum’s head? We saw parrots, budgies, flamingoes, peacocks and canaries, among other birds.
Our dolphin, Jenny, was the oldest dolphin in the park having been there since it opened ten years ago. I kissed and hugged her and took a ride at a speed of 15 mph.
Jenny felt very smooth to touch. The way she behaved made me think that she was very clever. I visited several other places. All of them were good but meeting Jenny was extra-special.
Though I was sad to leave Florida, it was nice to sleep in my own bed when I got home.
