I spent a morning being coached by an Olympic athlete
I love sports, so when my mum told me that I’d get the chance to spend a morning being coached by an Olympic athlete, I was really excited.
I got up early on a Tuesday morning and we took three trains to meet Leon Taylor, a silver medallist in the 2004 Olympics.
Leon told us all about his career as a diver and we even got to hold the silver medal that he won. He then showed us a new smartphone app called Coaching for Life that BT has created, with ideas for loads of sports activities.
After that we played some of the games. Our favourite game was Team Tag, which was really fun! Leon even managed to persuade my mum to play some of the games too – some of the games are great for kids to play with their parents.
It was a really wet and miserable day, so we came to the conclusion to do the sports and games inside!
This shows you can have fun inside as well as outside, whatever the weather is like! Many thanks to Leon Taylor and to BT for giving us an excellent morning.
