I met legendary wrestler Triple H!
When I found out that I was The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign (MDC) and WWE National Community Champion I was over the moon. I got to meet Triple H too!
It was such an amazing recognition of the fundraising I have done and the day to day struggles I face with my minicore myopathy muscular dystrophy.
I was so honoured to have been chosen and so pleased that this award will not only give me recognition of what I go through with my condition but will also help to raise the profile of MDC.
I won a meet and greet with WWE Superstar Triple H and tickets to WWE WrestleMania® Revenge Tour at the London O2 Arena.
Meeting Triple H was amazing. He is such a lovely man and it was wonderful for him to tell me that I had done really well to raise so much money. Triple H was very well informed about muscle diseases and so interested to hear about the latest research being carried out in UK.
Last year I undertook a 10km sponsored charity walk in aid of MDC and raised £2,000. I have just undertaken the same challenge again this year – a real test for me because my muscles deteriorate and I wanted to prove to myself that I could still do a long walk. So far I have raised £1,560 but my target for this year is £2,500.
Wish me luck!
