Howzat for a report?
Wannabe sports journalists could have their match report read by England cricketers and posted on our website, if you enter a great new competition.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is launching its first ever Junior Journo competition, based around this season’s Clydesdale Bank 40 (CB40) tournament.
If you go along to a match and produce a written or multimedia report, judges including England bowler Steven Finn and the one-day captain Alastair Cook will pick out the best entries. Then the winner will get to go to the final at Lord’s on 17 September and report on the game for First News and First News TV.
The competition is open to everyone, with categories for 11 years and under and 12-16.
For more info and details of how to enter the competition, see www.ecb.co.uk/juniorjourno.
