Helen Skelton becomes first person to cycle to the South Pole.
Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton has just completed a 500-mile expedition across Antarctica.
Helen completed the incredible trek using a specially made bicycle, as well as kite skiing and cross country skiing. She made it to the finish in just 18 days!
As well as breaking the record for the first person to cycle to the South Pole, the 28-year-old has also broken the kite ski record, covering a distance of 100km in 7 hours 28 minutes.
Helen said, “It’s only now looking back on it that it’s really beginning to sink in what I’ve done and how big an achievement it is.”
The expedition was completed in aid of Sport Relief.
