Grey squirrels: misunderstood
Grey squirrels: misunderstood

Grey squirrel myths busted

Grey squirrels aren't as bad as everyone thinks, new research has found. Read why here...

Grey squirrels get a lot of bad things written about them, but new research shows that not all of them are true.

Lots of people think that grey squirrels have an impact on woodland bird populations.

They sometimes eat eggs and eat fledgling birds, but new research shows that they don’t cause serious harm to the overall populations.

Grey squirrels are considered to be a predator and a pest. They are not native to the UK and have driven native red squirrels almost to extinction.

Another reason why people don't like grey squirrels is because they eat the food put out for birds and are very clever about getting it. Watch this video below of a clever grey squirrel getting food from a bird feeder.
