Government Minister Alan Duncan gets involved with Red Nose Day (with the help of First News)

First News took a group of children to interview Minister for International Development Alan Duncan, and helped him get in to the Red Nose Day Spirit

Minister for International Development Alan Duncan was helped in to the Red Nose Day spirit today by a group of First News readers who presented him with a very special gift - a red nose all of his own.

Readers Katie, Mohammed, Kyle and Ellie had been to the Department for International Development (DFID) to quiz Mr Duncan on world affairs, following other First News interviews with Prime Minister David Cameron, and Energy and climate change secretary Chris Huhne.

Every two years sees the UK turn Red Nose Day crazy to raise money for Comic Relief.

This year is all about doing something funny for money. Celebrities have been making fools of themselves on Let’s Dance for Comic Relief as well as taking on incredible challenges, all to raise money.

Comic Relief works to make people’s lives better at home in the UK and in Africa. Every penny that is donated goes to this important work.

    Because they had their parents permission. Their parents were with them on the day and said that they didn't mind us using their photos. I have used photos of Rhianna9 and Henrye before too because their parents have told me it is ok. If your parent or guardian drops me an email, then I will happily use photos of you too if you would like. I have to be 100% sure that your parents won't mind first.

    Ohhh when we got to the place the most embarrassing thing happened... I got locked in the toilet and a nice posh lady had to get me out... I was panicking! I was going to do that interview, I had waited for weeks and I WAS DETERMINED!!!!! LOL! :D

    Frules, there's probably no point as I look nothing like that anymore! The pic is kinda embarassing so I'd prefer it if you didn't... The only thing the same is the hair! Well, I never DID look like that apart from when the picture was taken, normally I look okay! With my eyes open! ;)
