Gordon Brown makes surprise visit to Afghanistan
Gordon Brown made a surprise visit to war-torn Afghanistan and made some revelations...
Prime Minister Gordon Brown visited Afghanistan on Saturday and revealed that the government are investing in 200 new patrol vehicles.
The new patrol vehicles will cost around £100million and should arrive in Afghanistan by late 2011.
The Land Rovers used by soldiers at the moment aren't protected enough and have been blamed by soldiers for the high number of deaths caused by roadside bombs.
An additional £18 million will also be spent on training UK troops against booby traps and 150 UK police and Army army trainers are being sent to train Afghan police.
