Prince Harry had some good sporting news, but students face a tough time for learning...

Bad week: The number of students applying to university has gone up by more than a fifth but, because of funding cuts, the number of places available has dropped by 6,000.

Good week: Prince Harry, the third in line to the throne, has been made vice-patron of England’s Rugby Football Union.
