GCSE studies to include celebrity lessons

GCSE studies to include celebrity lessons

A new English GCSE could see pupils studying Simon Cowell and TV shows.

Spoken language is being brought into the subject to help young people’s verbal skills. Examining how TV presenters, contestants, interviewers and comics speak could become part of lessons.

What do you think of this story? Do you think celebrity studies are a good idea, or do you think we should stick to more traditional subjects?

If you were offered the chance to learn all about Simon Cowell, would you jump at the chance, or give he the "red buzzer" treatment?
