Gareth Thomas leaves Dancing on Ice

by Hannah Greenfield Monday, 4 March 2013

It was a dramatic semi-final for Dancing on Ice last night, as Gareth Thomas was forced to pull out of the competition.

The ex-rugby player had been suffering from motion sickness all week, after contestants were challenged to do flying routines.

Gareth managed to complete his first skate of the night, but was taken ill soon after and advised not to do his second skate. His low score meant he would have been in the bottom two.

As Gareth was too unwell to perform, producers decided to cancel the skate off and refund those who had voted.

Beth Tweddle, Matt Lapinskas and Luke Campbell automatically made it through to the final next week.
