Free tickets to the Olympics

Free tickets to the Olympics

London 2012 are giving school pupils across the country the chance to go to the Olympics for free next summer.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson and London 2012 Chair Seb Coe announced this week that they are giving away 125,000 Olympics tickets to school children in London. Another 50,000 tickets will be made available to schools across the UK. Plus, another 25,000 tickets will be given out by the British Olympic Association, British Paralympic Association, Sport England and Tickets for Troops.

Seb Coe said: “Schools and colleges across London and the UK have a golden opportunity to give some of their pupils the chance of a lifetime – tickets to see the greatest show on Earth.”

To have a chance of being allocated tickets schools need to register with Get Set, the official London 2012 education programme, by December 2011. Go to www.london2012.com/getset for more info and to register.
