For the first time in 50 years, a rare species of bumblebee has been spotted in Scotland.
The distinctive bumblebee, called a Southern Cuckoo has been seen at St Abbs in Berwickshire, near the border with England.
It was spotted by Bob Dawson who works at the Bumblebee Trust.
The discovery is great news for bumblebees as they are struggling for survival in the UK due to a decline in the number of wild flowers.
Cuckoo bumblebees get their name because they move into
the nests of other bees, just like cuckoo birds.
Do you like bumblebees, or are you scared of their sting?
