The grey tabby invaded the pitch during the Liverpool and Tottenham match, 11 minutes after kick-off. The referee halted the match as the crowd laughed and cheered the cat. It then spent about a minute wandering around the Tottenham penalty box, much to the amusement of goalie Brad Friedel.

The cat was eventually helped off the pitch by stewards at the ground.

No-one knows where the cat came from or who it belongs to, but a twitter account named @AnfieldCat has notched up more than 17,000 followers since the match!
