Football fan Dan Taylor is looking forward to the World Cup so much that he has turned his front room into a football pitch by spending hours laying down turf.

The 30-year-old not only planted and waters the grassy pitch he has hand-painted white lines and markings on it.

"There's nothing better than sitting watching the match with the feel of fresh grass underneath your feet," Dan said. "Every morning the first thing I do is give it a little sprinkle with the watering can then I go round with a pair of scissors to make sure it's neat and tidy.


"It's going to take a lot of upkeep if I want to keep it green until the end of the World Cup, but it'll be worth it."
