The Britain’s Got Talent judge told the star-studded party that, over the summer, everyone will be able to watch First TV – a new TV channel for young people. You’ll be able to watch the first show on the internet next month, followed by three more summer specials. First TV will be a mixture of news, entertainment, sport, travel and lots of surprises with presenters Charlie McDonnell, Emma Pollard and twins Fran and Nick Gleadall.

Charlie is the number one video blogger on You Tube. He has had nearly 50 million views of the blog which he has been filming since he was 16. You may have seen him present a BAFTA award on TV last week. Charlie, now aged 19, has the same manager as Ant and Dec and is really excited to be joining the First TV team. You’ll be able to see him attempting to break world records live in the studio!

Emma Pollard, 25, looks about 16 and acts a bit like it too! She has done some TV presenting before but is better known as an actress and has just come back from Hollywood.

Twins Fran and Nick Gleadall, 21, shot to fame when they were runners-up in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s TV search to find singers for Britain’s Eurovision Song Contest entry. We still can’t tell them apart and, for the first show, they will be meeting

X Factor twins Jedward so everyone will be seeing double!

Piers also introduced GMTV’s Anna Williamson who will be the ambassador of BRIT Class Act, our search for the best school band in the country. Anna wants you to get practising over the summer because, in September, you will be able to enter. The winner will pick up an official BRIT Award, the best music prize in the country.
