First News and Kick4change aim to send 95,000 pairs of football boots to underpriviledged children

First News has teamed up with new social enterprise, kick4change and its Pledgemyseat campaign, to help send 94,700 pairs of brand new football boots to underprivileged children in South Africa.

We’re asking schools, teachers, pupils and parents to help us leave this real World Cup legacy.

Pledgemyseat www.pledgemyseat.org is an on-line stadium, based on the venue for the 2010 World Cup final, with 94,700 virtual seats available to buy at £14.99 each.

For every seat purchased, a pair of boots will be sent to South African townships alongside the South African Sport Trust, Kick4Life and other charities.

Simply design a pair of football boots that represent the World Cup being hosted in South Africa. The winning designer will not only have their boots made and sent to South Africa they will also win £100 worth of vouchers. Plus the winner’s school will also receive £150 worth of vouchers.

All you need to do is visit www.firstnews.co.uk print out the boot template and get creative. Don’t forget to include your details, the name of your school and teacher.
