England squad announced for World Cup

Fabio Capello today announced his squad for the World Cup, but Theo Walcott will be staying at home.

Arsenal winger Walcott was one of the heroes of qualifying after he scored a superb hat-trick against Croatia. However, Capello has chosen to take Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright-Phillips for the right wing position instead.

Gareth Barry has kept his place after apparently responding well to treatment for his ankle injury, and Ledley King's dodgy knees haven't kept him out of the squad.
