Did Henry VIII have a secret daughter?

A historian has discovered that King Henry VIII had not one, but two daughters named Elizabeth and that the secret Elizabeth should have been queen.

According to historian Elizabeth Norton, who has been examining royal records, Elizabeth Tailboys was the child of King Henry VIII and his mistress, Bessie Blount.

Elizabeth was adopted by her stepfather, Gilbert Tailboys. But, if the King had claimed her as his, she would have become queen, as she was older than King Henry’s daughter with Anne Boleyn, who was also called Elizabeth. It is the younger Elizabeth who actually went on to become Queen Elizabeth I.

History would have been very different if the older Elizabeth had taken the throne and there may have been a different king or queen on the throne today.
