Deadly earthquake hits the Philippines

A powerful earthquake has destroyed lots of homes and killed 15 people in the Phillipines.

The 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck the central Philippines at 11.49am on February 6.

Rescuers in the Philippines dug through rubble with their bare hands and shovels after the powerful earthquake triggered landslides, collapsed homes and killed dozens of people.

Earthquake surviors begged rescuers to keep searching for dozens of people buried in landslides, but officials said hopes of finding them alive were dim.

I think that is terrible! I've never thought how I would feel if one of my family was stuck under all that rubble, I'd feel so sad (probably much more than that) . I hope they do find more people alive!
