David Beckham at Spurs

Footballer David Beckham has agreed to train with Tottenham Hotspur over the next couple of weeks to keep his fitness up before the MLS season kicks off in March.

Tottenham Hotspur were hoping to acquire the 35 year-old’s services over his 2-month spell at Spurs, but were unable to agree a deal in time.

However, Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp still has hopes in getting Beckham to play for Tottenham while training with the club. Redknapp mentioned to Sky Sports News “It's complicated but you never know. We'll see how it goes."

Beckham, who has won many trophies in his time at Manchester United, is not a stranger to playing in the MLS off-season. In the last 2 years Beckham managed to gain loan deals to play for AC Milan to improve his chances in gaining a place in Fabio Capello’s World Cup team last year. However, during his second spell at AC Milan, Beckham tore his achilles tendon, which ruled him out of the World Cup and was off the football pitch for six months.
