Con man jailed for trying to sell Ritz

A con man, has been found guilty of trying to sell The Ritz Hotel in London for £250 million.

Con man, Anthony Lee has been found guilty of obtaining money by deception after he attempted to sell The Ritz Hotel in London for £250 million.

The jobless con man conned the victim, Terence Collins, into paying him £1million of the money.

Lee told Collins that he was a "close friend and associate" of the Barclay brothers who own the hotel, and that there were secret reasons for why the hotel had to be sold in private and secret.

Judge Stephen Robbins told Lee: "This con or scam or sting, whatever term is used, was probably motivated by your mistaken belief that Terry Collins had deprived you of another potentially lucrative property deal and it may be that this offence was done out of revenge."
