Christmas fun at Disneyland Paris!

Last month, I was lucky enough to visit Disneyland Paris for Disney’s Enchanted Christmas. I was so excited about Disneyland Paris that I could hardly sleep, which was a good job really, as we had to be up and out of the house really early to make our way to St Pancras International station to collect the Eurostar, which would take us straight to Disneyland Paris.

I had never been on the Eurostar before. It was great and we even had breakfast!

Once we arrived at Disneyland Paris, it was straight to our hotel, Hotel New York. We checked in and headed into the park. I couldn’t wait to get on the rides. We managed to go on Big Thunder Mountain – three times – Pirates of the Caribbean and It’s a Small World before it was time to head back to the hotel for a quick freshen-up, then off out again to the Disney Lake in the Disney Village to enjoy Mickey’s Magical Fireworks and Bonfire.

The fireworks were amazing. They were set to music and included a laser show. They were the best fireworks I have ever seen. The lasers looked like they were skimming the water and Santa even popped along on his boat.

The next day was another early start, but I was so excited I just wanted to get back into the park and get on the rides. After lunch in the Lucky Nugget, we headed over to the Central Plaza to watch Mickey’s Magical Celebration show. We just had enough time for a ride on Big Thunder Mountain again before it was time to secure our place to watch Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade and Dreams of Christmas. I was so close to the front that Minnie even shook my hand!

Later that evening, when it was dark, we headed back to Main Street in the Disneyland Park to watch the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Everyone cheered as the lights went on and sparkled up the huge tree.

Then it was time for dinner at The Blue Lagoon restaurant, which is inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Then, as a special treat when the park was closed, we were allowed to stay and go on some of the rides. It was so much fun on the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups in the dark.

After a lovely breakfast we headed to Walt Disney Studios Park to try the rides there. My favourite ride there was Crush’s Coaster, but my mum screamed the whole way round.

I had the most magical time ever at Disneyland Paris. I can’t wait to go back.
