China to ban big dogs
The city of Xi’an in northern China is to ban residents from keeping big dogs.
The ruling, which will take effect on February 1, means that people won’t be allowed to keep pets more than 20 inches tall.
German Shepherds are just one type of dog that will be affected.
There isn’t an official reason for the ban, but it is thought that the country is worried about rabies and other health issues.
