Chance of more earthquakes for Chile, experts warn

Earthquake experts are working with the Chile authorities to prepare for more devastating tremors.

In February a massive earthquake, measuring 8.8 on the magnitude scale, hit Chile killing nearly 500 people.

The experts, or seismologists, have been monitoring areas and want the government to take their warnings seriously. In February there were criticisms that the authorities hadn’t taken the experts’ advice and warned people of the danger.
